She Got Her Own Reception + Showcase - Presented by The Gentlemen (Devon Watson + Jerrell Horton)
Nothing can be more inspiring than being in a room full of Brown Belles who are defining their financial independence through entrepreneurship. The She Got Her Own event took place at Element where experienced panelists spoke to the attendees about perseverance, issues of racism and sexism, and not being afraid of success.
Panelist included:
Jamilah Barnes Creekmur, Sr. Business Development Consultant & Owner, JBC Consulting Group (JBCNYC.com)
Demetria L. Lucas, Founder and CEO of A Belle in Brooklyn (abelleinbrooklyn.com)
Sepideh Nasiri, Director of All Things Offline, Women 2.0 (women2.com)
Yoli Ouiya, Founder of yolisgreenliving.com
Karen Tappin, Founder & CEO of Karen’s Body Beautiful (karensbodybeautiful.com)
Carol Watson, CEO, Tangerine-Watson (tangerine-watson.com)

There was also a fine selection of vendors who I sure hope will be at the upcoming events (sista was on a budget that night). Find them online:

A Belle in Brooklyn (abelleinbrooklyn.com)
B. Marie Styles (bmariestyle.com)
Black N Ugly (bu-clothing.com)
Candace Elena Couture (candaceelenacouture.tumblr.com)

Love is in the Iris - Minter + Richter Designs
It is no secret that I love design - in everything; jewelry being no exception. Enter Minter + Richter, a husband and wife jewelry design duo that make titanium rings that are as artistic as they are meaningful. I entered a contest with BridalBFF and won one of their gorgeous rings- the Iris - and it just came in the mail today!!! I am so excited!
All of Minter and Richter rings are individually hand crafted and made from titanium. They play with unique treatments that bring out custom color and shine, plus most rings are in the $200-$300 range. (You know I love a good deal)
If you’re looking for exquisite craftsmanship and a symbolic piece as a wedding/engagement ring or any gift really, check them out here. Love is in the Iris - Minter + Richter Designs

The Photobooth Project Launch Party @ Wix Lounge
One word to describe this event: SMASHING! The founders have one-up’d the photography scene by integrating an interactive photobooth quality to their event photography. And in this digital age where a spark can easily turn into a flame the word is spreading like wild fire. TPP initially planned for 100 guests on the evening  of June 8th and approximately 1000 narcissistic fans and new-comers showed to have their 15 seconds of fame at the free event space provided by Wix Lounge.
